It's what you give that matters most

In 2018,  I was honored to participate in Valencia  College's mentorship program and be able to give back our nation's youth; paying forward so many blessings that have been given to me.  I have continued this commitment through 2021 with an amazing young man and hope to continue in this very rewarding experience.

As a founding member of  ABLE, I held a position as Technology Chair.  I worked with the rest of the board to provide resources such as an organization website and social media tools to help facilitate communication for our efforts and about our efforts.

It has also been an important opportunity to mentor young professionals and to be mentored as well.

Orange County's youth need to be exposed to the work force as early as possible.  I participate in POPs programs as a panelist in their discussions, as  guest speaker, in mock interviews and activities to expose Orange County youth to what may come next for them.

I liaised with Orlando Police Department and the District 1 City Commissioner to foster development of a Neighborhood Watch program.

I also coordinated the 2008 National Night out celebration for our 564 home community.  I successfully solicited over $2000 in goods from Target, Home Depot and Lowes for giveaways.  I secured a number of participants including Home Security vendors, OPD Motorcycle troops, Fire Department, and more.  OPD arranged home security assessments and more. It was a huge, fun event with amazing prizes and one-of-a-kind games.

In a community of 564 homes, it is important to break the community down into segments.  I have served my community by being the voice, eyes and ears of my block of homes in the larger community.
